MRA XCreen Tour XCTA Adjustable Windscreen Spoiler
MRA XCreen Tour XCTA adjustable windscreen spoiler offers one of the most versatile ways to adjust air streams over the cockpit and around the helmet. Spoilers can be very useful to eliminate turbulence around the helmet or change the shape of the air flow slightly above the helmet for example. For a lot of motorcyclists the STD windshield is not tall enough and some of the bikes have no touring windscreen on the market. In addition a lot of dual sport riders use helmets with peak and the peak could catch the air stream resulting negative turbulence, vibrations and disturbing noise. There are many aerodynamic problems which could be solved with a proper spoiler and the 15*6” MRA XCreen Tour XCTA adjustable windscreen spoiler is one the most clever alternatives on the market. It has lockable joints and angle adjustments. Plastic latches in the joints turn 90 degrees and when the latches are facing each other, adjustments can be done. When the latches are pointing forward, the joints are locked in the position.
The MRA XCreen Tour XCTA adjustable windscreen spoiler comes with two hinge/pivot arm options. A single hinge option allows to change the angle of the spoiler only. Note that the single pivot arm gives the smallest windscreen extension effect due to the bolt on attachment. A double pivot arm option allows to change also the hight up to 110 mm. (4.3”) and the distance to the windscreen. The double joint extends the wind cover in the highest position and if mounted with an optional XCC clamp, the spoiler cover extension effect could be maximized to the fullest. Note that the XCTA spoiler either splits the air flow in two streams, unless the spoiler is lined up with the top edge of the windshield forming an extension. The pivot arms and all the joints can be easily locked in place without any tools. This allows to change the adjustment very quickly and lock the position firmly in place. Even hard turbulence is not able to change the angles. The MRA XCreen Tour XCTA adjustable windscreen spoiler feels very stable and solid when the joints are locked. Note that the pivot arms can be change back and forward any time as long as a M4 allen key is available.
The MRA XCreen Tour XCTA adjustable windscreen spoiler has two mounting options. The STD mount would be screwed through the windshield in 4 spots which is not difficult for any handyman. 6 mm. holes are made using a drilling stencil which helps to find exactly the right spots to drill. The stencil is very simple and clever tool which could be printed from the web and placed on the bike for a quick checkup. It takes into account safe distances to the edges of the windshield and how to centralize the spoiler right in the middle. The delivery package comes with written instructions in 5 languages to explain how it`s done properly. As optional extra the MRA XCreen Tour XCTA adjustable windscreen spoiler can be mounted using the XCC clamp without drilling any holes to the windshield. The clamp comes around the top edge of the windshield with an elastic rubber cushion which also protects the windscreen. The rubber cushion is pressed tightly against the windshield with screws, resulting a firm grip between the rubber and the windscreen.
