RUKKA Virium motorcycle gloves with textile Gore-Tex® XTrafit structure and touch screen features, are good for moderate and changing weather conditions. A long cuff and the Gore-Tex® membrane makes sure that the hands remain dry and comfortable in the rain. As long as the temperature is below 25 degrees (77F), the VIRIUM -gloves remain comfortable enough, but without any ventilation features and lighter coloring, another pair of MC -gloves such as RUKKA Him with short cuff would be necessary. When the long cuffs are placed below the sleeves and the jacket cuffs are left more open, the long cuffs of VIRIUM keep the sleeves open directing air flow in the jacket. The XTrafit -structure is laminated from 3 -layers and becomes as one being wrinkle free, but also providing an exact feel to the handlebar. The RUKKA Virium glove is very light and pre-shaped for grip posture which eliminates the pull effect. This glove really fits much better than the most. Additional grip is delivered with silicone handling on the finger tips and on top of the palms agains the handlebar.
The RUKKA Virium motorcycle gloves offer protection features above the average. In addition to the weather protection, the VIRIUM -gloves have below the tear resistant nylon shell an anatomically shaped knuckle guard with a foam cushion increasing the fit and comfort. On the backhand side fingers are TPR -protected. The palm side has a carpal LUNATE -protector and high wear areas are reinforced with double leather. The plastic lunate protector has also a hidden function as a kind of wrist rest and cruise assist when the front edge is placed against the grip. Perhaps this is not an intentional feature, but never the less useful. On the backhand there are 3M Scotchlite reflector piping and logos providing additional safety in the dark. The level of protection is good for touring and clearly the RUKKA Virium gloves are designed for light offroad touring at the most.
The RUKKA Virium motorcycle gloves have special touch screen adapted fingertips which is interesting for those who are using smartphones or tablets in the MC -cockpit and would like to use the devices gloves on, perhaps even on the move. Smartphones and tablets can be used today also as motorcycle GPS -navigators which makes such features important. Even when the smartphone is used just for communication and music, the conductive fingertips are pretty useful. Never the less operating the smartphone touch screen gloves on is not the same as without. It`s hardly as accurate or as quick as bare fingers are. How could it even be due to the fact that the fingers become so much bigger gloves on. The RUKKA Virium motorcycle gloves have a practical set of motorcycling features for most of us and if I had to choose only one pair of MC -gloves in addition to RUKKA Him, it would be easy.
