SHARK Explorer R Carbon -adventure motorcycle helmet represents an interesting light weight alternative with two different characters in one. The change can be done very easily in just few seconds. The biggest differences to the conventional adventure motorcycle helmets is that the visor can not be used with the peak simultaneously. The Explorer R would be at it`s best in light allroad touring as long as the hottest conditions are seldom on the menu. The shell mixture of carbon aramid- and glass fibers makes the Explorer R light and more comfortable at the end of the long day of riding. The basics are in order. The Explorer R goes well with the eyewear, the amount of ventilation can be controlled, the helmet adapts to COM -systems, an anti-bacterial lining can be removed and washed. On top of the ordinary, the SHARK Explorer R Carbon -adventure motorcycle helmet has a removable anti-fog mask on the chin bar, an integrated storm collar behind the zipper in the bottom cover of the helmet and a reservation for the SHARK Tooth -communication system.
The SHARK Explorer R Carbon -adventure motorcycle helmet comes with two STD -configurations and the motorcyclist can choose between a traditional street- and the adventure riding helmet compositions. The adventure configuration offers the benefits of riding with offroad goggles and a peak. The SHARK Raw -goggles are fully integrated with the Explorer R and fulfill the eye-port completely. There is only a little bit room for additional air flow on the face which makes the Explorer R more ideal for warm and moderate weather conditions. Fortunately there is a white shell alternative to reduce the direct sun light effect. The straps are hooked to the back of the helmet and the quick release works fluently. The optical Carl Zeiss lenses are excellent and offer one of the clearest sights, although they are dark smoked which is not ideal for riding after the sunset. The goggle frame is more curved than the most providing a wider line of sight. The SHARK Raw -goggles are equipped with a removable nose shield, providing necessary protection against the hard shell insects for example. The removable SHARK Explorer R Carbon -peak can be adjusted and the design is open enough for the high speed air streams.
In addition to the SHARK Explorer R Carbon -adventure motorcycle helmet composition, also the street configuration offers a controlled ventilation system with 2 intakes on the top and 1 on the chin bar. The rear exhaust vent has 2 holes through the shell. The Explorer R -ventilation system includes anti-fog features such as the chin vent and a removable mask on top of the chin bar. In addition the visor is anti-fog treated and the outside surface protected with an anti-scratch film. The overall Explorer R -design is rather compact and the bottom cover around the neck reduces some the air flow, but also the noise. On top of that comes an integral drop down sun visor, a full-face visor with city position and a SHARK Autoseal -closure mechanism. The sun visor is very useful and the up & down leaver at the left hand side quick in use. Never the less the size of the visor fits better to sporty riding postures leaving the lowest part of the sight free.
